Scottish Hair & Beauty Awards Finalists 2013
Totally Gorgeous and Donnamarie have received the massive honour of making the finals of the Scottish Hair & Beauty Awards for two years in a row!! Although we never brought home the winners trophy, we are overjoyed at being one of the lucky finalists chosen from the hundreds of salons that entered from all over Scotland. Of course we had a fantastic night at the awards ceremony itself on 26th May 2013, where we were greeted on arrival by a Scottish piper and red carpet.
The glitzy awards now in it's third year are hosted by INAA and held at the Hilton Glasgow. A black tie event attended by the Scottish Hair and Beauty Industry’s best and beautiful, it was bound to be glam affair with gorgeous girls and guys galore and it didn't disappoint.
M.D Joanne Reid and Operations Director Ruthanne Reid, as well as the rest of Team INAA pulled out all the stops and produced another outstanding night filled with much excitement, great entertainment and a room full of fabulous people.
Scotland’s No1 Magazine's No1 Bitch; Josie Smith and Clyde 1’s Romeo worked their magic presenting the awards. Whilst a number of celebrities including Lauren Goodger (Laurens Way and TOWIE) and Laura McMonagle (River City and the Wee Man) announced the winners of the awards.
Fabulous live jazz music filled the air over dinner which although looked appetising on the menu, was the only thing to disappoint on the night. An unusually disappointing show from the Hilton Glasgow especially after last year’s mouth-watering sea bass.
The entertainment was provided by Glasgow based tribute band Could it Be Take That(getting the whole room on the dance floor), as well as a hair demo by Bee from Bumble and Bumble, a fabulous fashion show by Superior Model Management showcasing work from some of the best up and coming Scottish Designer's and as if that wasn't enough, top London DJ Jodie Harsh brought the night to a close.
Of course the sponsors provided us with some goodies, and perhaps we may have been a tad over optimistic when we saw the gorgeous GHD gift bags (a girl can only dream of a free pair of GHDs) we were more than happy with the freebies from Bumble and Bumble, Reamin and Laurens Way.
All in all it was an amazing night and we are very pleased to have been part of it. We are already looking forward to next years event.
